7 Steps of How bills / Laws are Made

Image result for government nzHi Everyone my name is Armanielle and we are learning about how a bill is made 7 steps and from my perspective the laws are created by a request of a law so a bill in government concepts are request's for new laws and it also means asking for a new law and you do that by sending a letter to the House of Mp's and it will be confirmed if they all agree but if they don't then it is declined.

A bill is introduced to the House of Parliament and it gets taken inside the room they decide on if the bill should keep going through the process it is also something that can be requested to anyone in the whole world you don't have to be a Member of Parliament to request for a new law / Bill.

Therefore the second reading is about recommendations view of public amendments so this means that people will start to vote and make petitions and they all vote for what the law should be.

These 7 steps are made like this and this is how a new bill / law is created 1. Introduced to the MP's  2. Decide weather confirmed
3. Consideration of the bill , 4. The bill returns to House of MP's
5. They debate  6. Decision Pending  7. The governor signs the bill and it becomes a new law.

Pink Plastic: Zachariah Soakai

                      Pink Plastic

Hello my name is Armanielle and I will be talking to you about Pink Plastic and what that means is it is a community for gays lesbians and bisexuals and when my teacher had explained the meaning of it I felt very insecure about it because when I heard her talking to us about it I had assumed it meant Pink plastic bags.

I assumed that it had been all about pollution and the amount of bags we are using I really thought that it was all about pollution so then when she had told me I was shocked and I was so blank and didn't know what to say to her and so then I questioned her why is the name Pink Plastic she then had told me that it was Pink plastic because it is gender specific and then I had clicked and remembered.

I then had to figure out what is the definition of gender specific I then had a fair point of it and I thought to myself it means having there own roles and all sorts e.g I think it is about girls and boys having there own specific way of things such as clothes colours categories and the way they act and behave themselves.

This article inspired me a lot because we really don't ever get the chance to talk about these sort of things without getting in trouble by our own community or family and it is important for us to know all these things so we don't have a shock and all of a sudden mock them for who they are and it is good to understand these things so it teaches us to not be judgemental.

Science: Water Cycle

                       Water Cycle

In science today we learnt about the water cycle and we learnt what some of the water cycle facts are one thing I really enjoyed was learning that the water droplets that fall on a tree actually dirties the sea because the bark and mud from the tree all flows in the sea and pollutes the water.

We are very lucky we have filters and we have the water cycle to help us have clean water and to drink healthy water so we don't catch any type of sickness that will cause you a whole lot of problems and your family would be worried.

The water cycle is very fascinating because I found it quiet interesting I really loved learning new things because it made me learn more so when I grow up I can make sure I know all these things so I can get a qualified job and it will benefit me because I am getting prepared for NCEA and I really want to be a leader in the future and be a hard working role model for those who are new to Tamaki College.

That is my blog post for today thank you for reading.

New Government concepts:Social Studies

Social Studies Government Concepts

Today In social studies our teacher said to us no devices out because we were doing a little exercise with them. They helped us with government concepts. From there, we had to remember all the 7 key concepts that we would later have to explain in front of the whole class.

In social studies we learnt about the new government concepts and the meanings of them e.g (Laws is a rule or set of rules), (Rights Something we are entitle to),
(Government the group of selected politicians who make the laws for our country), (Democracy a system of government where people vote for the people they want in parliament), (Electorate is a voting district.

Mrs Apelu made us exercise our brain's by remembering what the key concepts of the leaders all around the world she made us practice it and she helped us if we were a bit stuck because she wanted us to be confident speakers because some of the seniors in our school are very shy and she wants us to be confident when we get to senior year.

Mrs Robertson made us remember what are all the 7 types of Government key concepts she made us read over all of those key concepts and she also made sure we kept repeating it over and over until we remember off by heart.

I looked forward to learning this unit it was a bit tough to remember all the 7 concepts but its good that I am learning something new and it is great that I am learning new things so in the future I am gonna know all these things.

Freedom Writers Blog Post: We can Change like how they did too.

Freedom Writers

This term we studied about the freedom writers film and we learnt about how we could make a difference in our lives like being kind and spreading kindness to whoever you talk to so they can share and stop the violence and bullying that is happening all around the world.

To be honest I feel that there is no reason to be cruel and mean in this world because I feel like everyone in the world deserves to be treated the way they would treat themselves.

Some people really don't care about the peacemakers in this world and I think nice people don't get enough in this world and I think that we should stop the bullying, violence, fighting, jealousy and all those bad things people are doing in this world.

We can all make a difference if we spread kindness and love to this world so there will be no suicide and killing but we cant help it it's the people that are thinking about that.

In the freedom writers film my favourite character was Eva,Benitez because she was a brave young strong honest independent young lady she stuck up for someone even though she was supposed to stick up for her own race aka (latina's) she is my role model and I admire her and have full respect for her.

The end:)

Government: What do you think the government helps with.

Image result for governmentThe Government's Goods.

The Government help us with W-I-N-Z and social support such as loans and what W-I-N-Z is that they are people that help you with food or clothes they provide things for you to help you with if your a single parent or if your a single parent on the benefit W-I-N-Z would help you with everything that would need to be provided with.

The Government helps with student loans for University and they provide everything and they make decisions if they know someone has done something wrong they will organise a arrangement such as a law case,Home detention,Jail,Court room meeting,Visit at your home or if you have children that you live with can get taken away by the S-I-F-F-S the S-I-F-F-S are people who takes care of children such as Oranga Tamariki and they are a children's home centre if they get adopted or taken away from you they get put into that campaign.

Why is it important for us to know our culture.

Hello everyone My name is Armanielle and I why I think it is important to learn how to speak your own language so that when you have children they would know how to speak there heritage and so I've learnt that if you know how to speak your own language than people that are your culture when they are talking to you they would know you understand what you are saying and it is very important to know how to speak your own language so you can pass it on to your children and I think it is very valuable and Honorable to know how to speak your language so that when your elder lies are talking to you understand what there saying to you.

The way I retain my language is that I have access to churches that help me speak my own culture and my parents speaking there language I also have a lot of aunts and uncles that can speak the language and if you don't know how to speak the language then they would call you plastic (aka) someone who is that culture but cannot speak that culture that is what plastic means to me.

Community Blog Post Social Studies

Image result for communityToday In Social Studies we talked about Community and what it means.
We were all explaining what community means in our two groups so then we each came up with our own definitions of what community means to us A Community is made up of  Neighbours local Supermarkets , Pharmacy's and doctors. Each community in East Auckland is made up of smaller districts such as  Panmure , Glen innes , Mt wellington , Pakuranga and Howick so then we found out that community's are Locals that know every street every shop and that is what local means to me and especially when you know that
 community's will have Gang's , Gyms , and some thing's
like a local clubs anything like that is a community so that is how we find out what communities are to us it is pretty much like local Dairy and anything that is close by where you live.

Tamaki College Push / Pull Reasons

Image result for ireland immigration imagesOne way I could Improve In my presentation Is to speak louder and clearer so the audience can hear us and to make sure I give some expression when I talk during my presentation. These are all the highlights from my presentation slide show. They flee their country because of the struggles they faced with keeping up with there overdue rent and also trying to feed their families. Also there handicraft shops were taken over by English landlords, which are they’re farms and factories. It got a lot more worsened in around the 1840's when there food, potatoes were infested with deadly blight, cause of this infestation millions of people dead of starvation. By escaping this life before death or the poorhouse, most families decide to pack and sail to countries like England, America and Australasia.

Armanielle Current Events

Image 1. New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern hugs a mosque-goer at the Kilbirnie Mosque on March 17, 2019 in Wellington, New Zealand following shooting attacks on two mosques in Christchurch on Friday, 15 March. Photo by: Hagen Hopkins/Getty Images I think that Jacinda Arden was very shocked in a way that this tragedy has never ever occurred in New Zealand she was very deceived and she was grieving with the Muslims that's families who have passed on she felt that it wasn't fair that Muslims had to suffer in pain just all over Australians hating on Muslims.

The Muslim people were praising our Prime minister Jacinda Arden because she respected the Muslim families and all the people that have passed on she has really supported the Muslims and Every Mosque Jacinda Arden has placed police officers to guard there homes every 24 / 7 because of what has happen in Christchurch Jacinda has safe guarded Every single Muslim / Mosque home she has protected them and she is keeping Every single community safe so the world could be a better place.

Our prime-minister Jacinda Arden has made a law that Foreigner's are not a loud to come to New Zealand because of what has happen in Christchurch.

Everybody in New Zealand , Arabic and all the Mosque people have all gathered together to celebrate those who have passed on and some Mosque didn't feel safe because of what has happen there are lot's of people supporting the Mosque's and there are even people that are not Muslim but they are still being respectful to the Muslim's culture there are a lot of girls wearing green ribbons on there hands and there are some little girl's wearing the burkas to represent their culture.

What does empathy mean to me.

Image result for friendship photos kids

What dose Empathy mean to me?

It means being kind towards other people treating people with respect giving somebody a helping hand being a peace maker towards other people and forgiving people for doing something wrong and making sure nobody ever betrays you or hurts your friends.
In the Classroom you could show respect whenever someone makes a mistake when they pronounce their words then you can support them and just say excuse me it’s this or say something that can build them up and make them feel better about them self.
In the School Playground you could give someone a helping hand when they fall over or you can share the swing or anything with them when they want a turn you should share with them and then be kind at the playground.
At home or in your community do the dishes or help somebody if they need any help say hello to anybody you see or even smile at anybody you see that are local to your community it will make them feel good about them self then the neighbourhood would think that your a good person.

Migration : We are learning what Kiribati.

Image result for migration    Migration
There are a lot of different countries including pacific countries, one of them is called Kiribati it’s in fact one of the top 25 smallest countries but that is not what they were on the news for.

Sometime around this week news reported that Kiribati was going to drown underwater because of Climate Change, which is affecting the island of Kiribati. Kiribati people are starting to think there country is going to drown because the richer countries are making more and more Greenhouse Gases which is keeping there country warm and is also causing the Earth to get warmer which changes the Weather Patterns, because of the Greenhouse Gases the Kiribati people want them to stop so that there people can stay and enjoy their culture and there home country together with there family and friends. People in Kiribati are beginning to Migrate from there homes near the shore because there is less land around their property and people are fighting with one another which is starting to make the island of Kiribati more crowded which is why there is not enough space for crop growing.

Earths Core : Armanielle

2.  The mantle is the thickest layer. It is 5 km thick.

3.  Together the crust and the very top of the mantle make up a layer called the
Lethal Sphere.

4. Under the layer called the Lethal Sphere is another layer in the mantle called the
asthenosphere.
Share one fact you learned about the asthenosphere here: Metal Rocks
5.  The temperature at the top of the mantle (up by the crust)
is much cooler than the temperature at the bottom of the mantle (by the outer core).

What is the temperature at the top of the mantle? 4,000 °C(7,230 °F)

6. What is the temperature near the bottom of the mantle? 7,000 degrees

7.  Is the outer core a solid or a liquid?    Liquid
8. What is the outer core mostly made of? Rocks and Mantle
9. Is the inner core hotter than the sun?     It’s as hot as the sun.

10. How hot is the inner core, (10,800 F)

11. Why isn’t the inner core a liquid, when it is SO hot?! Why hasn’t it melted
Because its made from rocks and irons

12. Put the layers of the Earth in order from coolest to hottest!
Coolest:     Crust
Next-coolest: Mantle
Getting hotter: Outer core
Hottest: Inner core

13.  The outside layer of the earth is made up of two different types of crust called the
continental  crust and the outer crust. We live on the continent crust and the outer crust is
found under the oceans!

Explain, in your own words, what convection currents are and why they are important.
Write your answer here: They are important because One of the most important roles
of ocean currents is in governing Earth's weather and climate. Western boundary
currents such as the Gulf Stream carry large amounts of heat from tropical waters
to the north.
